Can you accept a guy who is much younger than you??

Going to knock off at 7. Now just waiting for the clock to strike 7. My mind is totally blank now. Maybe have not recovered from staying out last night.
Back to east coast park yesterday afternoon to cycle after watching sunrise early in the morning. I also dunno where did I get the energy from to do tt, but i just dun want to stay at home. So decided to go cycling with my colleagues.
One of colleagues brought a guy with her and this guy is 5 years younger than her. I dunno whether are they already an item. They seemed very close but my colleague is still attached with a boyfriend (by the way also 5 years younger then her)!!. I personally find that their relationship is very unhealthy. Like some underground relationship.
The worst is that she sort of like using me as an excuse to go out with this guy. Whenever she goes out with him, she will tell her boyfriend that she is going out with me...., wats got to do with me.....
I dun think age is a problem but doing something unfaithful behind one's back is not acceptable.
Anyway, it is her life and is none of my business.

The man and his ostrich

A man walks into a restaurant with an ostrich behind him, and as he sits, the waitress comes over and asks for their order. The man says,"I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich. "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress returns with the order. "That will be $6.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and the ostrich says, "I'll have the same." Once again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change. This becomes a routine until late one evening, the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the waitress. "No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and salad," says the man. "Same for me," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress comes with the order and says, "That will be $12.62." Once again the man pulls exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change out of your pocket every time?" "Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and I found an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, just put my hand in my pocket, and the right amount of money would always be there."

"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would wish for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!"
"That's right! Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man. The waitress asks, "One other thing, sir, what's with the ostrich?" The man replies, "My second wish was for a chick with long legs."

hahaha...orr bi good!!

Drawing a line

Dunno is it because sales is bad recently, or is it because we have different perspective in life, I feel that our relationship got worse. Sometimes it is very difficult to draw a line between friends and colleagues. You are a good friend outside but when comes to work is a different thing.

I know I am not in a position to comment about your working attitude but I just want to voice out my opinion of you. Sometimes I do feel uncomfortable. You seemed to get sales very easily without much following up. Surfing internet all day, doing your own stuff but not work. I felt really unfair if students just forgot the consultant's name and sign up with another person. Is that considered free ride?

Like for today's incident, this student came down to register with you and later I found out that I had this student's application form with me long time ago. But you claimed that this is your lead, so I asked when did you get the lead cos my application form state september so if you got this lead earlier than me then this is definitely yours. I got a bit upset when you replied saying that never mind, give you lor since only a student.

I definitely know that in sales line, cross lead is unavoidable. And sometimes, it is very difficult to say whose lead is that cos one can be doing the consulting but another one holding the application form. It is a very sensitive issue as commission is given according to the number of students you bring in. However I really hope this will not affect our working relationship. We still have to work together to get in the numbers.

A Touching Love Story

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but being polite, she agreed. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.. suddenly he asked the waiter: "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee."

Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously: why do you have this fetish?

He replied: "when I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea , just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who still live there".

While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home.. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I had promised not to lie to you for anything.. Now I'm dying, I'm afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again". Her tears made the letter totally wet. Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?

It's sweet. She replied.

My first outdoor climb was great!

I went to diary farm quarry for my first outdoor climb on sat and it felt great! A total different feel as compared to the indoor. More challenging , a bit scary but fun! I went together with 2 experienced climbers and learnt a lot from them. They taught me different techniques, movements, routes and even the different usage of equipments....etc. (did not manage to master any of the challenging moves by the way!! hahaha...) It was really a good experience and I will definitely go back and climb again.

We climbed at the same spot where James met the accident and discovered a metal plate left behind by his family. His name, age and the date of the accident was carved onto the metal plate. There is a phrase carved in Chinese character behind the plate. The meaning is something like : " Death to human is the last chapter but to Jesus is the first chapter." My two friends were with James when the accident happened, they were a little upset when they saw the plate but soon they got over it and continued climbing. I am so touched that this accident did not deter them from climbing. I know it is not easy to get over the death of their friend but I can see that they are trying to put the incident behind them and continue to enjoy the sport they love.

I only climbed twice for the day and it already took up all of my energy! Had bruises here and there esp on my knees. Think is the way I climbed, not used to the different curves and slopes of the real rocks, so had been knocking here and there. Shall improve on my climbing skills to avoid knocking my knees on the rocks again!! kekeke....

While I was at my 2nd climb, there was this group of cyclist stopped by and watched. I was so stressed and felt uneasy with so many eyes on me!! But still I am proud of myself that i managed to reach the top!

Not only I had a great climb that day, but also had a great conversation with my friends during lunch time. An English guy ( one of my friend's friend) was cycling near bukit timah joined us for lunch and we had a great talk. It is kind of a funny group of us cos I am a chinese, my two other friends are indian and american and this english guy, so is like a multi national team! haha... I find myself contributing nothing when they talked about different issues, from work to sports to travelling etc...they had so much experience in life and had encountered and achieved so much that I find myself so ignorant and shallow. But still I learnt a lot and enjoyed myself very much!
